Laura Dominick Born in Chicago and raised on the city’s southwest side. She attended J.F. Kennedy high school where in 1971 she heard about chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo from her friend Bob. He invited her to a meeting about a philosophy of life which, after 4 months of much apprehension, Laura attended January 8, 1972 and has been practicing Nichiren Buddhism with the SGI (Soka Gakkai International which means value creating society) ever since. She worked at her father's printing company for 32 years. He was semi-retired and was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer which he passed away from a few months later. Laura had digestive problems all her life. She had started seeing a doctor of osteopathy who had her see a nutritionist who did live cell analysis in his office. She was informed as to healthier eating such as eliminating or cutting down on dairy and other acidic foods. Also in her case, eliminating gluten from her diet, which helped. He sent her to a colon hydrotherapist. She had 7 sessions within 3 weeks and her digestive system was functioning much better. Laura decided to become a certified colon hydrotherapist through I-ACT, the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapists in March 2006 and has been helping people by doing colonics ever since. She is certified at the advanced level and is a National Board of Colon Hydrotherapists member.
